A beautiful friends story....

This is something a client and friend has written for me to let others know there is hope..if you choose it.
This Is Julie's story in brief...
 
Major neuro-surgery back in 1987 changed my life. Back then I had two year old twin sons and a nine month old daughter. In fact, it started before then, I was about 8 months pregnant with my daughter when I had to have a CT scan. It was discovered that I had a brain tumour, a neurofibromatosis type2 (non-cancerous) that had to be removed. But I had to wait till I had my baby before they could operate. So that was the start of years of surgery. In that time we discovered that my daughter had inherited the tumours from me. Abby was about 7 years old when it was discovered. As she got older someone suggested she had massage therapy to help stimulate her muscles. ...... because of the tumours on the nerves, the muscles were loosing their strength.
She (Abby) has since passed on, but because I knew it helped her, I started going for treatment myself. I have found it helped me immensely..

1. Strengthening muscles, helping my balance,
2. Just totally making a difference,
3. I have a tumour on the inner thigh that is smaller and softer. I used to get bad nerve pain in my foot from it, but that doesn’t happen anymore

 
I have my Bars done now too (after coming for four years for massage). I can’t explain it really. Its like I’ve found myself again… and I didn’t even know I had “gone”!!

I have watched this lady change in the time I have started massaging her. she has gone from someone who required help to balance while walking on windy days (and we get some wind here in our neck of the woods) to someone who is fiercely independent and willing to try anything...even took up ballet classes for a while. Julie even climbed in a nieces house window when they accidently locked themselves out (laughing and giggling) . .. It is an honour, and an Gi-normous privilege, to work with this lady and her body.
